Emilio Bartolome Martin (b. 1997) is a London-based painter whose work explores ambiguity, memory, and the psychological weight of the figure. Working primarily in oil on canvas, his paintings emerge through slow observation and layered mark-making, resisting closure and holding narrative in suspension. Martin recently completed his MA at City & Guilds of London Art School, where his practice developed around autobiography, phenomenology, and the tensions between presence and absence. He has exhibited widely in the UK and is the recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant.
